D3.7 Vulnerability Prediction Models – Final is an updated version of D3.3. It provides a literature review of state-of-the-art approaches in the field of Vulnerability Prediction and presents the design and development of Vulnerability Prediction Models along with detailed evaluation results. It investigates whether the utilization of software metrics can lead to a better Vulnerability Prediction model or improve the predictive performance of text mining-based models. In both cases, emphasis has been given to the adoption of Deep Learning, and particularly to Deep Neural Networks. Furthermore, it presents a tool that we implemented in order to create our own vulnerability-related dataset and examines the capacity of statistical models and deep learning models in forecasting the number of vulnerabilities in time.
